25th Annual Christopher Dailey Foundation 5K Turkey Trot

Every Thanksgiving morning, the streets of downtown Saratoga Springs come alive with the energy of runners, walkers, families, and friends gathering for the 25th Annual Christopher Dailey 5K Turkey Trot. This beloved community tradition kicks off bright and early at 8:30 AM on Thursday, November 26, 2026, starting in front of City Hall at the corner of Broadway and Lake Avenue and finishing near the corner of Route 50 and North Broadway.

What began in 2002 as a heartfelt way to honor the memory of young Christopher Dailey has grown into one of Saratoga County's most anticipated holiday events. Participants of all ages and abilities lace up their sneakers (and sometimes don festive turkey hats!) for a fun, non-competitive 5K run/walk that celebrates health, togetherness, and giving back.

All proceeds from the Turkey Trot directly support the Christopher Dailey Foundation, which continues Christopher's spirit of joy by funding local Saratoga County organizations and programs focused on youth recreational opportunities, support for children with physical and intellectual disabilities, addressing food insecurity, mental health initiatives, and creating active, fulfilling lives for kids and families.

Whether you're a seasoned runner chasing a personal best, a family making it an annual tradition, or someone simply looking to start the day with gratitude and movement, the Christopher Dailey 5K Turkey Trot welcomes everyone. Registration opens in August 2026, with early-bird pricing at $30 (increasing to $34 closer to race day). Team sign-ups are encouraged, and a special family plan discount is available for families of four (including two children under 14).
